SUPER KING ANAHEIM

For the Super King in Anaheim, in the heart of Orange County, we developed a brand new store to replace the very first store Super King ever opened. It brings special significance to this turnkey concept, showcasing every facet of our design input, from the facade of the farmhouse-inspired exterior to the bright, inviting interior. Ownership had a very specific vision for the layout of this store, and we worked closely with them to bring it to life. 

 

And does it have life! 

 

For starters, its open layout concept is dedicated to spotlighting freshness and value, which gives the space a much different look and feel from a regular grocery store or supermarket. It’s designed to make the shopping experience more convenient and accessible because from the moment you step into the store, open sightlines give you the opportunity to locate every department at first glance. This open concept was key to creating a FRESH food hall with the produce department as its core, surrounded by the Dairy, Seafood, Meat, Cheese, Baked Goods, and Deli departments. 

 

High industrial ceilings with dropped decorative lighting fixtures complement the calming black and gray color palette, enhanced with wood elements that are part of the decor, millwork, and store displays , putting the spotlight on the fresh food and making their colors pop.

 

The liquor section, essentially a store-within-a-store, brings an elevated and calming experience. You can find a vast selection of wine, beer, and spirits to rival even the most high-end liquor store and appeal to the most discriminating shopper.

 

As with previous Super King projects, the Collective was involved in every aspect of developing this store, from layout and lighting to fabrication and installation. The result is an aesthetically pleasing design that makes for a friendlier, more elevated customer experience.
